About Lost Chapter:

Lost Chapter has been around since pretty much the dawn of WoW raiding, pioneering end game raiding on our server since such ancient times as the first Molten Core raids.
For our first 3 years (May 5th 2005 - June 2nd 2008) we were the leading hardcore raiding guild on our home server "Earthen Ring (EU)", beating almost all encounters pre-nerf from Molten Core to deep into the original Naxx in Vanilla WoW and from Gruul to the 4th boss in Sunwell in TBC.

At our height (BWL and later BT), Lost Chapter had a world standing in the top 100s.

Around the 4th boss in Sunwell, many of our core members lacked the time to continue raiding with new RL obligations popping up and it was decided to disband the guild, with a large number of our members ending up in other top guilds, including some in world top 5 guilds.

In May 2009 we missed the old gang and decided to reform, this time on the server Doomhammer (EU). Given the casual nature WoW had taken since WotLK we chose to reform in a more sustainable semi-casual format this time around and a large number of our old members flocked back.

Nevertheless, we still emphasize proper play and the hardcore background of most of our old members is hard to hide. Ultimately our new goal is to clear as much content as possible while maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

What can Lost Chapter offer you?

We will provide the opportunity to participate in 25 man raid content, sharing your raid spot with some veteran raiders who have played on the highest level. We are a stable guild with a mature attitude towards raiding, though we do enjoy a lot of fun on vent otherwise. Outside the raiding schedule there's normally a lot going on with people taking part in arenas, alts, or other 10 man raids.

At the end of the day, Lost Chapter is not just a guild, but a community.

What we are looking for/requirements to apply:

We're always on the lookout for dedicated experienced players.
Classes are never truly full, but the more we have of a class, the more exceptional you have to be to get invited.

Our requirements have been heavily relaxed since our reforming given our new semi-casual direction, however it is still important to meet the following:

• Extensive experience playing your class in raids and a passion for raiding/exploring new encounters.
• Good game knowledge, understanding game/raiding mechanics and itemization.
• Willingness to learn, improve and to constantly push your limits.
• Open to constructive criticism.
• Activity: Must be able to attend our 4 main raiding days: Wed, Thu, Sun, Mon. Being online the other 3 days is optional, but recommended if you want to attend off schedule raids (10 mans, old content, etc.).
• Being able to meet our raiding times: Raids start at 19:30 and end at 00:00 server time. If you can't meet these times, do not apply.
• Connection: Stable connection and PC, people who frequently disconnect need not apply.
• Stable RL conditions for the extended future. You're joining to stay and you're certain you can maintain attendance/activity for the distant future.
• Gear: ToC 25 quality gear as the current minimum. Adequate gear for offspecs is highly recommended.
• Interest in current WoW community events and always keeping up to date on the latest changes. Keeping yourself educated with boss strats and theories via wow websites/forums.
• Capable of farming repair costs/consumables/flasks on your own without a fuss for every raid.
• Willing to wipe and spend a lot of time/effort mastering new encounters without losing focus/motivation.
• Independent, proactive player. You need to want to strive to performing at your best and be ready for all encounters (situational/resistance gear, consumables, mods, spec, researching guides), instead of being told to do so. Does not require "baby sitting"
• Specs: Understanding all aspects and specs of your class and willing to respec for specific encounters if deemed necessary. Being able to play more than one spec is highly preferred.
• Mods: oRA3, Deadly Boss Mods (or BigWigs), Omen (for DPS and tanks), class specific mods
• Ventrilo: Able to use Ventrilo voice com software. Listening required, having a mic and using it preferred (required for tanks). You must be on Ventrilo during raids.
• Able to read/write/understand English at a decent enough level.
• Team player who strives to progress the guild rather than personal focus. Able to rotate/respec depending on what an encounter requires.
• 18 years or older preferred. Able to take harsh criticism/jokes. Fun personality/sense of humor, easy to work with.
• Enchants/Gems: All gear has to be enchanted with the highest level enchants. Items with sockets should be fully socketed with highest quality gems. Striving to have the best possible gear and enchants/gems to maximize performance should be something YOU want to do, not something you have to be told to do.
• Dedication: Be positive towards raiding. You should be prepared to maximize your characters effectiveness in raids (theorycrafting/reading up on tactics). During the raids you need to be fully awake and focused.

What we don't want:

If any of the following describes you, save yourself and us the time/trouble and look somewhere else. You will be removed from the guild if it turns out it applies to you, so be honest in your application.

• People with unstable/laggy/flaky connection/PC.
• People who can't take criticism. If you're a source of "emo" and get quickly frustrated, look somewhere else as this will not be tolerated.
• Unstable RL conditions/uncertain future that might conflict with raiding schedule.
• Joining for loot rather than accomplishments.
• People who are unwilling to learn and improve.

All our applications are confidential, as we understand the problems involved with seeking a new guild while raiding in your current guild/group. Applications will not be available to the public.

Important: (added since people seem to frequently miss this)

• Make sure Armory is showing the gear you want us to see when you apply (gear of the correct spec). Make sure it continues to show that gear for at least ~1 week after you apply. Don't log out in random spec/pvp gear or your application will not be processed.
• If you cannot match our raiding times (19:30 -> 00:00 server time) and at least 3/4 of our raiding days (Wed, Thu, Sun, Mon) do not apply.
• The above is in Server Time, don't talk to us about your local time.
• Make sure you register on our website using your character name and not some other random nick.
